{"id":3893,"date":"2021-02-03T23:13:08","date_gmt":"2021-02-03T12:13:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tocact.org.au\/?p=3893"},"modified":"2022-04-14T21:29:38","modified_gmt":"2022-04-14T11:29:38","slug":"6th-may-2020-large-items-photo-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tocact.org.au\/?p=3893","title":{"rendered":"Large Items Photo Competition &#8211; 3rd Feb 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Rules Relating to the 2021 Photographic Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Projects submitted for the competition should have been constructed by members entering the competition, within the last 3 years and not previously entered in a Club competition.<\/li>\n<li>Projects should be of a nature whereby they cannot be entered into the Club\u2019s annual woodworking competition, for example, they are too large\/ fixed in place, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Judging of projects will be undertaken by all members present at the meeting at which the competition is held.<\/li>\n<li>As projects will be judged based on photographs and related descriptions, entrants should ensure they submit sufficient photographs to enable a full assessment of the merits of their entry or entries.<\/li>\n<li>Photographs of the project during construction phase would be welcome.<\/li>\n<li>Photographs should, if possible, be taken from different angles and include close ups of any notable woodworking features or joints.<\/li>\n<li>Entrants should submit for each project a brief fact sheet detailing materials and techniques used and any notable features of the project.<\/li>\n<li>There will be three categories of projects \u2013 indoor projects, outdoor projects and workshop projects.<\/li>\n<li>Entries should be submitted via email to Ron* to allow circulation to members.<\/li>\n<li>Entrants will be requested to make a brief presentation to members prior to judging.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>The judging criteria and points allocations for the competition were as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Finish (appropriate for conditions and well applied) 20 pts<\/li>\n<li>Construction (techniques, joints, etc) 25 pts<\/li>\n<li>Design 25 pts (more points for original or modified designs)<\/li>\n<li>Use of recycled material 10 pts<\/li>\n<li>Fit for use (how useful is it?) 20 pts<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rules Relating to the 2021 Photographic Competition Projects submitted for the competition should have been constructed by members entering the competition, within the last 3 years and not previously entered in a Club competition.
